There is a lot happening in 2020 at the Library. First, our Library is 110 years old in February. Happy Birthday SCPL! To celebrate, we are having a birthday bash on Saturday, February 8th from 1pm-4pm. There will be a cake, a historical presentation, and caricature drawing for anyone interested. All are invited to join in the celebration!

There are several upcoming fundraising opportunities to take part in. The first is a Dine to Donate night at the Texas Roadhouse in Royersford. This is on January 28th from 4pm-10pm. It is Kids Night and kids meals are only 99 cents with the purchase of an adult entrée. Texas Roadhouse is generously donating back to the Library, 20% of your food purchases that evening. Just bring in the flyer (hard copy or on your phone). Secondly, on February 27th, we are having a comedy night at SoulJoel’s. The doors open at 6pm, the show begins at 7pm. Tickets are $20. We are going to begin a new monthly program here at the Library! The Library Lunch Bunch will meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 12-1pm. Each month a different ingredient will be featured and we are asking participants to bring a dish to share along with recipe. Our first lunch is February 12th and the ingredient is chocolate. All dishes are welcome (i.e. appetizers, salads, entrees, desserts, drinks, baked goods).

In March, we are featuring a day trip on a Klein luxury bus to NYC. The bus will leave the SC Elementary School parking lot at 6:30am on Saturday, March 28th. You plan your own day in NYC. The bus drops you off in the theatre district and you pick the bus back up at 6pm for the return trip. The trip is $40/person. Register at the Library or at signupgenius.com.
