Some great resources!

Hello everyone! With cold and sometimes wet weather headed our way this season, there may be days that you just don’t feel like venturing out to the Library. You don’t have to! With our rich e-resources, we can bring the Library to you right in your own cozy chair in your living room. Reading the New York Times has never been easier (or cost less)! For the cost of a library card (free!), you have access to the New York Times! Not only do I enjoy reading the content for free, I am signed up for daily NY Times briefings in my email. Sometimes, I am looking for something to read for just a few minutes. For this, I click on Flipster with over 100 magazine titles to choose from! Always crisp, fresh, and ready to be read. And the best thing is, I don’t have to pay for all of those magazine subscriptions that used to pile up on my coffee table (oftentimes unread!). If I am looking for a novel to go with that cozy chair and cup of tea, a trip into Overdrive satisfies with tons of selections at my fingertips ready to be checked out and read on my device. Or perhaps, I just want to peruse the catalog and order up my next reads for pickup curbside (or in person) at the Library on a different day. The online catalog is content rich filled with details about not only the book that you are looking for, but other books like it giving you that “bookstore” browsing experience from the comfort of home. Do you have a favorite way in which the Library serves you from outside the traditional walls? Let us know!
