Happy To Serve You

I am very excited to be here as the new Executive Director of the Spring City Library. I have been here now just over a month and I have encountered a very warm welcome for which I am grateful. Thank you all! I look forward to serving you here and I welcome your comments and suggestions.

Julie Wiant

I grew up in Palmyra, NY, near Rochester, NY and moved to Chester County in 1993. I have been living in the county (Downingtown, Chester Springs, and Elverson) mostly continuously since 1993 with a brief move to Northern NJ in 1999 and a recent very brief move to the Berkshire Mountains in Massachusetts. I am happy to be “home” once again!

I got my Masters in Library Science from Clarion University in 2005. I went to work for St. Joseph Parish in Downingtown as the Parish Services Director for a couple of years and then became the Business Manager there for over 10 years. My strong business skills and fundraising abilities, coupled with my MLS, I believe, will be very helpful in directing the Spring City Library and serving you, the patrons.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, biking, decorating, baking, and hanging out with my family and two little dogs. I have too many interests to ever be bored! I look forward to getting to know each of you better over the coming months!
